County of Perth Broadband Initiative

The initiative from the Rural Connections... The Ontario Municipal Rural Broadband Partnership Program will allow municipalities to provide broadband access to their residents and businesses. On August 23, 2007, 18 successful applicants were announced, including the County of Perth.

Through the funding provided by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food And Rural Affairs, this project led by the County of Perth in partnership with its member municipalities, will seek to improve broadband access in areas of the county that are currently under-serviced. Through a competitive process, OmniGlobe Networks was selected to provide broadband Internet services in the underserved areas identified within the County of Perth, which can be viewed on this graphical map.
