Listowel Technology, Inc. (LTI)

Listowel Technology, Inc. is a world-class manufacturer of injection-moulded automotive parts.  Manufacturing exclusively for Honda, they serve a North American market from Perth County.   The approximately 18 million parts they make per year are shipped from Listowel to Honda Manufacturing Canada in Alliston, ON.  A large multinational company, LTI chose North Perth to locate their 240,000-square-foot facility in 1996.

“North Perth was a natural fit with our industry—great infrastructure provided by the municipality, close to transportation corridors, good working relationship with local government officials, and most importantly, a qualified and educated labour force with great work ethics”, notes Blair Burns, Manager of Human Resources.  “These are the factors that have contributed to our very competitive situation, ensuring a successful business for our shareholders.”

Since that time, Listowel Technologies has experienced steady growth and success over the past 18 years.  Their industry-leading approach combines advanced capabilities such as product design and prototyping to mass production of high quality automotive parts. LTI's operating philosophy is focused on safety, teamwork, customer satisfaction, continuous improvement and advanced manufacturing techniques.   The 450 full time employees average production of one part every 30 to 60 seconds and have won awards from Honda for performance and efficiency.

As one of the most progressive and largest employers in Perth County, LTI has embraced its location in the North Perth community.  LTI supports a number of local initiatives and groups including:  the North Perth Chamber of Commerce, Big Brothers and Sisters, Youth Unlimited, Paddyfest, the Fischer Primary Care facility, Rotary's new amphitheatre, Listowel Cyclones, Listowel District Secondary School graduate scholarships, and youth minor sports.

Further enhancing this success is the progressive commitment of LTI to providing safe, quality working conditions for its employees.  As of February 28th, 2014, LTI has achieved 1.1 million hours without a lost time accident. It is this combined commitment to their industry, the community and people, as well as the environment that contributes to LTI’s competitive strength as an industry leader.
