TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the County of Perth will hold a Public Meeting on June 7, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers at the County Court House (1 Huron St., Stratford) to consider an Amendment to the County of Perth Official Plan. The Amendment is being considered pursuant to the provisions of the Ontario Planning Act.The proposed Official Plan Amendment (OPA) application (which the County has deemed to be complete) affects property in the Township of Perth South (Blanshard Ward) described as Part of Lot 7, Concession 16. The subject property is owned by Paul Battler and Ingrid Vanderschot. The proposed Official Plan Amendment will not change the land use designation of the subject property (shown in hatching on the attached map) from its current "Agriculture" designation but rather will provide revision to the existing exception to these policies to permit a professional office (i.e. chiropractic clinic) instead of the currently permitted antique and gift shop.
The proposed OPA is being considered by County Council on the basis of an application submitted by the owners of the subject property. The existing OP policies permit the following uses: an antique and gift shop; a seminar and lecture room facility; and an existing dwelling unit shall be permitted within an existing mill building located on the subject property. The proposed OPA is to replace the currently permitted antique and gift shop with a professional office (i.e. chiropractic clinic) while retaining the balance of the aforementioned uses. If the proposed OPA is approved, an application to the Township of Perth South for a Zoning By-law amendment, will also be required.
