Public Notice: Pesticide Use

PUBLIC NOTICE – PESTICIDE USE

County of Perth

The County of Perth intends to control Noxious weeds along the following rural roadsides:

All County Roads within the County of Perth AND
4.0 km of Huron Road 32 and
6.0 km of Perth Line 20 (Russeldale to Line 17)

Commencing May 16th, 2022 through to June 17th, 2022 – Weather Permitting.

A combination of following Herbicides and Gateway Adjuvants will be used:

Clearview Herbicide, which contains the active ingredients Aminopyralid, present as potassium salt and Metsulfuron - methyl (Registration Number 29752) in combination with Gateway Adjuvant, which contains active ingredients Paraffinic Oil, and Alkoxylated alcohol non-ionic surfactants (Registration Number 31470); under the Pest Control Products Act (Canada). Navius FLEX, which contains the active ingredients Metsulfuron
– methyl and Aminocyclorpyrachlor (Registration number 30922) in combination with Hasten NT Ultra Spray Adjuvant, which contains active ingredients Methyl and ethyl oleate (Registration Number 31760); under the Pest Control Products Act (Canada).
Noxious Weeds along the roadside will be controlled under the public works exception of the Cosmetic Pesticides Ban to the promotion of public health and safety.
