PERTH COUNTY, ON – Inspired by the region’s countryside charm to turn their 1860s heritage farm into ‘something fancy’, Steve and Casey Howanyk are making history this week as The Perth Farmhouse Winery becomes the first-ever to open its doors in Perth County on May 18th.
This milestone establishment promises to redefine the local wine scene with their 'Sip and Graze' experience, inviting guests to enjoy a self-guided tasting surrounded by the picturesque 5-acre vineyard and towering willow trees while savoring the flavors of the region.
Located on the border of Perth County in the municipality of Perth East, The Perth Farmhouse is sure to attract local residents and visitors from the neighboring Regional Municipality of Waterloo and beyond. The vineyard is planted with five cold-climate grape varietals that the first-generation farmers are excited to serve alongside artisanal graze boxes sourced from local farms.
Offering more than just a tasting – Perth County Tourism is thrilled to be adding The Perth Farmhouse Winery as a Discover More Adventures Signature Experience. In addition to their newest venture, the Perth Farmhouse offers a Goat Social Signature Experience – where guests can explore the stunning property, spend time in the pasture with friendly dwarf goats, and picnic by the pond.
"We are proud to offer this one-of-a-kind experience, share our carefully crafted wines and ciders and showcase the beauty of Perth County," Casey and Steve Howanyk, Founders and Owners. "This is just the beginning of an exciting journey, and we look forward to welcoming guests to celebrate Grapes, Goats & Good Times!" Starting May 18th The Perth Farmhouse will be open every Saturday and Sunday for visitors to sip, graze, and discover the warmth of genuine farm hospitality.
