The Emergency Management program is unified, covering the County and its four member municipalities on a shared services basis. The partner municipalities of Stratford and St. Mary's have their own programs, coordinated through their fire departments. A vital aspect of the county's program is public education and awareness.

The County Emergency Management Coordinator provides overall leadership for the four municipal and one county program. Each one must individually meet the requirements of the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. E.9 and regulations O. Reg. 380/04

Perth County Emergency Management takes every opportunity to present emergency safety information to the public. Comprehensive Emergency Plan |
Municipalities are required to develop an Emergency Plan governing the provision of necessary services during an emergency, as well detailing the procedures that are to be followed by the people who will respond to the emergency. Perth County's Emergency Plan is unified across the municipalities. |
