As we continue to monitor the COVID-19 Pandemic below are some business resources that have been created. Please share these with your networks to help ensure that your businesses are prepared to manage through this challenging time.

Stop the Spread Business Information Line 1-888-444-3659

The province has launched a toll-free line to provide support to Ontario businesses who have questions about the province's recent emergency order to close at-risk workplaces following recommendations by Ontario's Chief Medical Officer of Health. Full details can be found here.

Mental Wellness for Small Business Owners & Entrepreneurs

The uncertainty, business closure, job loss and financial stresses brought on by COVID-19 can impact the mental health and wellness of our small business owners very hard.  In an effort to help, the Perth Community Futures Development Corporation, the Stratford Perth Community Foundation, the Stratford-Perth Centre for Business, and local businesses, Hyde Construction Ltd. & Orr Insurance & Investment, in partnership with the United Way Perth Huron have funded a program to offer Mental Wellness support at no cost to business owners in the County, Stratford & St. Marys.

Mental Wellness for Small Business Owners & Entrepreneurs:

  • Counselling and one-one support provided by Family-Services, Perth-Huron (All Clinicians are fully licensed and accredited to provide professional counselling services in Ontario under the Psychotherapy Act of Ontario)
  • Existing clients of the Centre for Business & Perth CFDC will be provided the information directly via email/newsletter. 
  • Any Owners/Entrepreneurs whom are not yet clients, can reach out to info@stratfordperthbusiness.ca or call 519-305-5055 x1006
  • Call Family Services Perth-Huron directly 519-273-1020, x108
  • The direct extension will be provided by Family Services Perth-Huron to the entrepreneur – no personal details need to be provided to the Business Advisory staff in order to access the program.

 Partners In Employment

Partners in Employment is open by appointment. Appointments will be done over the telephone or video call. If you are looking for a new resume, or wanted to learn more about the local labour market, please give them a call or email: pie@partnersinemployment.on.ca and they will arrange an appointment for you.

Youth Job Connect program will start in early April. It is for Youth up to age 29, unemployed and out of school. It is 60 hours of on line Group Workshops (with Instructors), preparing youth for the workforce. The Youth are paid $14.00 an hour to participate! When the COVID-19 Crisis is over, Partners In Employment will then help the Youth gain employment.

Perth County launched the 19 Days & 19 Ways campaign to support local businesses amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The goal is to promote ways to responsibly support our local business community. For 19 days we shared on social media recommendations on how community members can support local businesses.
