The objective of the Digital Transformation Grant focuses on the following:
Supporting brick-and-mortar small businesses through access to an online assessment to determine the digital needs of their business.
Provide resources to assist eligible brick-and-mortar small businesses with the execution of their DTP ($2,500 grant)
Knowledge transfer through an online training course that provides the basics of how digital technology will transform their business for success and equips business owners with the digital literacy skills needed to develop a Digital Transformation Plan (DTP).

Ricky has started his journey at Perth County as a summer student working for the Economic and Development department. He now works as a Digital Service Squad Team Member working directly with business all around the county with their digital presence needs.
Ricky has a Bachelor's Degree in Financial Mathematics at Wilfrid Laurier University and is currently back in university to obtain a Bachelor's of Education Degree and teach STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) to elementary and high school students. Ricky has continuous knowledge in computer and technology and the important use of the subject matter when developing / maintaining a business.

Aylene began as a Digital Service Squad Team Member back in 2021 working alongside Perth County businesses to with their digital projects.
Aylene is currently working toward a Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing at Wilfrid Laurier University. She is able to help businesses with DTG 4.0 applications, website set-up and maintenance, 360-degree photos, and anything else digital you can think of. Aylene is also able to help with your business’ digital marketing and is willing to teach you all the tips and tricks to market your business on social media.

As part of the Canada Digital Adoption Program, the Government of Canada has partnered with Digital Main Street and their ShopHERE powered by Google program to deliver the Grow Your Business Online grant to small businesses across the country. Eligible businesses will receive a micro-grant of up to $2,400 to help with the costs related to adopting e-commerce and supported by a network of e-commerce advisors. Resources: |

R.A.I.S.E. |
Racialized and Indigenous Supports for Entrepreneurs (R.A.I.S.E.) is a service and grant program developed and administered by the Toronto Association of Business Improvement Areas (TABIA), the Ontario Business Improvement Area Association (OBIAA) and in partnership with the Parkdale Centre for Innovation (PCI) to support Indigenous, Black and other Racialized entrepreneurs in Ontario to start and scale a business. R.A.I.S.E. will provide access to business development training, culturally responsive support services and access to grant funding. The program is funded by the Government of Ontario.
The program provides non-repayable grants of up to $10,000 to eligible racialized small businesses and entrepreneurs upon the completion of a structured coaching program and delivers a coaching program that will provide individual business advice and coaching to applicants as part of the program to support implementation of the required business transformation plan. |
