As per the recommendations from the Huron Perth Public Health unit, the following COVID-19 precautions have been put into place:

50% Capacity Reduction

At this time, every other seat has been blocked off in order to ensure proper physical distancing. Please be sure to book your ride in advance in order to secure your seat.

Mandatory Face Coverings

All riders are required to wear a proper face covering, that covers the nose, mouth and chin without gaping. Please note that face shields are not an effective face covering.

Cleaning Procedures

PC Connect ensures thorough sanitization and cleaning procedures on a daily basis, with focus on all high-touch surfaces throughout the bus. Riders are encouraged to leverage the hand sanitizer provided when entering and exiting the bus.

Accessibility Information

All PC Connect buses are fully accessible, with high floor ramp access for multiple wheelchairs.

Bus Stops

In cases where a bus stop is temporarily inaccessible, riders will be able to board or exit the bus at the nearest accessible and safe location. The operator will consider the preference of riders, however the final determination of a safe location will be determined by the Operator.

Priority Seating

Designated accessible seating is available on every PC Connect bus. Priority seating is for the use of passengers with a disability, and is the designated securement location for persons using a wheelchair or other mobility device.

Customers who do not have a disability are expected to respect the intended purpose of Priority seating, which means they shall vacate the seat for a person with a disability, or at the request of the bus operator.

  • Priority seating is on a first come-first served basis.Priority Seating must be vacated for persons with disabilities.

  • A person with a disability occupying a Priority seat is NOT required to move for another customer with a disability.

Bus operators will provide assistance by asking customers sitting in the Priority seating to move to another seat. In the event the customer occupying the seat chooses not to move, the bus operator will NOT enforce the requirement.

Service Animals

Service animals are welcome on PC Connect buses given they are working in aid of the person making the trip. Service animals on buses must remain in the care and control of the owner at all times.

Support Persons

Support Persons accompanying a rider with a disability are permitted to ride PC Connect free of cost.

Inclement Weather Policy

Due to safety concerns, PC Connect will not operate if the weather and/or road conditions are deemed unsafe for vehicles to operate.

In the case of inclement weather, riders are encouraged to call 1-888-465-0783 to confirm whether the service is operating. In the case of service cancellation, all riders who have pre-booked their ride will receive a phone call letting them know the service has been cancelled.
