Accessibility

Accessibility is important for everyone. We have implemented a variety of service features to help remove barriers and make PC Connect accessible. All PC Connect buses are equipped with mobility aid ramps and multiple mobility aid spaces. We offer priority seating on all transit vehicles and allow you to ride with a service animal.

In the case where a bus stop is temporarily inaccessible, riders will be able to board or exit the bus at the nearest accessible and safe location.

Policies

 Accessibility Policies

Priority and Courtesy Seating Policy

PC Connect has established designated priority seating areas for use by passengers with disabilities. This is in compliance with Section 49 of the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation.

Courtesy Seating areas have also been allocated for use by those who may benefit from having a seat near the front of the bus. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Seniors
  • Expectant mothers
  • Persons travelling with infants or small children

Service Animals and Pets Policy

Guide dogs and service animals are permitted onboard PC Connect. All other animals may be carried onboard as long as they are in the care and control of the owner at all times. Exotic pets are prohibited.

 Inclement Weather Policy

Due to safety concerns, PC Connect will not operate if the weather and/or road conditions are deemed unsafe for vehicles to operate.

In the case of inclement weather, riders are encouraged to call 1-888-465-0783 to confirm whether the service is operating. In the case of service cancellation, all riders who have pre-booked their ride will receive a phone call letting them know the service has been cancelled.

Service cancellations and delays will be posted on Perth County's Facebook and Twitter pages as soon as possible, however in order to receive the most up to date information, please call 1-888-465-0783.

 Digital Recording Surveillance Policy
Forward-facing and external-facing cameras have now been activated on PC Connect (Route A & B) vehicles. These cameras help:
  • investigate incidents involving our vehicles
  • support the investigation of customer complaints and claims
  • enhance public and customer safety

The use of video surveillance is undertaken in accordance with the County of Perth’s Video Surveillance Policy. Personal information is collected for security purposes in and around PC Connect fleet that are operated by Voyago to ensure the safety and security of riders and residents. Surveillance cameras are continuously recording and may be periodically monitored by authorized personal and/or the Stratford Police Service.

For more information, please refer to the supporting documents below:
