Meredith Forget is the Manager of Economic Development and Tourism. Meredith hails from Bruce County where she grew up the eldest of four. When she wasn’t antagonizing her siblings she was playing ringette and spending her summers at their family cottage in Point Clark. Meredith has a bachelor’s degree in Cultural Studies and English from Trent University. Meredith has worked across the province and Perth County by far is her favorite place to live work and play. Meredith and her husband Jason with their son Jack in tow love spending their time exploring all that Perth County has to offer. They especially love the Lil Fry Pie shop.
Justin Dias is the Economic Development Officer until December 2022. Justin has been working in economic development since 2013 and is excited to be joining the Perth County team. Justin is a graduate of both Western University and Humber College where he studied History, English and Public Administration. A lifelong learner, Justin continues to build his skills through pursuing studies and certifications through the Economic Developers Association of Canada and the Project Management Institute. An avid golfer, Justin looks forward to exploring the courses that Perth County has to offer as well as taking advantage of the County’s farm gates and markets to satisfy his love of cooking with fresh, local ingredients.
Ashley Brockelbank is the Tourism Officer for Perth County. Ashley joined the Economic Development & Tourism team in 2018 after graduating with an honours degree in Media, Information, and Technoculture from Western University. Ashley is passionate about creative marketing and loves devising new and unique ways to promote picturesque Perth County. When she isn’t crafting clever social media posts for the County or out on the road meeting with business owners, you can find Ashley exploring the local food scene, in the stands at a hockey arena, or enjoying time with friends and family in her charming hometown, Listowel.
Maggie Martin is the Transit Project Coordinator for Perth County. Maggie has recently joined the team with the goal of connecting Southwestern Ontario. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Guelph and has a strong passion for community. Following graduation, Maggie left her quaint hometown of Listowel to reside in the Nation’s Capital, and is now absolutely ecstatic to return to her roots! When Maggie isn’t cheering on her favourite athletes, you can find her planning her next adventure and exploring the outdoors with her friends and family.
Sarah Franklin is currently on a secondment as the Communications Officer in the Office of the CAO until December 2022. Sarah holds a Master’s degree in Economic Development from the University of Waterloo. She first joined the team in 2017 to build a new tourism program for Perth County. Sarah loves promoting the region locally and internationally through podcasts, videos and publications as well as seeing data come to life in projects such as the Farm Gate Map. In her role she enjoys travelling across the County engaging and building relationships with local businesses, service providers and community partners. After relocating to Perth County, she fell in love with the region's charm and now encourages others to consider doing the same.

North Perth |
Home to 13,130 residents, North Perth is the fastest growing community in Perth County. Listowel, its major urban centre, is a regional commercial and service hub for nearby communities in Perth, Wellington and Huron counties with its thriving downtown and diverse retail offerings. North Perth is a short 30-minute drive to Kitchener-Waterloo and has a full-service hospital and new Recreation Complex. Fibre connectivity in the community ensures that residents and businesses are connected to global markets. There are privately owned and serviced industrial properties available in the municipality. Plans are in the works for the development of a brand new municipal industrial park. Companies such as Trillium Mutual Insurance, Listowel Technology Inc., Spinrite Yarns, and Ideal Supply have already made North Perth home to their head offices. Perth South |
With the highest average household income in the county, Perth South residents enjoy a high standard of living in Perth County's smallest township of 3,810 residents. Businesses such as Klomps Nursery, McCullys Hill Farm, Stonetown Artisan Cheese, McLean Taylor Construction, Stratford Farm Equipment and Hoffmeyers Mill have made a name for themselves well beyond Perth County. A largely rural community with a strong agri-business sector, Perth south has a broad base of fibre available to homes and businesses, provided by community-owned Quadro Communications, connecting these successful businesses to their worldwide customers. Perth East |
A geographically large and diverse area known for its unique Amish and Mennonite communities, Perth East is home to 12,261 people. Innovative leading companies such as Nuhn Industries, Iron Bridge Fabrication, Quality Fertilizers, and Mornington Communications colour the landscape of Perth East. Anna Mae's Restaurant and Bakery is among the businesses that have found success in Perth East. Producing over 80,000 pies a year, Anna Mae's was the recipient of Trip Advisor's Certificate of Excellence in 2017, and has been featured on Food Network's show "You Gotta Eat Here!". West Perth |
Finding the perfect location for your business within a close distance to all major markets is an easy task in West Perth. West Perth is an easy commute to Stratford and is within 40 minutes of London. The municipality has a population of 8,865, and has a market-trade area of over 40,000 people located within 15 minutes. One of the booking businesses to call West Perth home is BioAgriMix, Canada's largest producer of animal pharmaceutical products. Paul Lake, president of BioAgriMix, explains that, "the biggest plus of being located in Perth County is the working relationship with the municipality and the willingness of their staff to work with you.
