Wildwood Conservation Area

  • 24 km of trails ranging from flat ground to rugged terrain with areas of steep hills, exposed roots and rocks
  • Located at Wildwood Conservation Area (must have a Day Pass or Season Pass to enter)
  • Views: Open Fields, Lakes, Rivers, Forests, Dams, Wildlife 
  • Special Features: Parking, Picnic Tables, Beach Access (with a valid pass)

Thames Nature Trail & Wetlands

  • 10 km trail featuring varied levels of difficulty, from a stroller/wheelchair accessible north section to the more rugged and natural southern section
  • Views: Rivers, Dams, Bridges, Forests, Wildlife

Listowel Golf Course

27 holes of championship golf with multiple tee decks, as well as a driving range, pro shop, gourmet restaurant and more. Home club of PGA professional golfer Corey Conners.

Wildwood Conservation Area

Wildwood Conservation Area is a 3,500 acre outdoor playground with a gorgeous lake, parks, trails, and more. Over 450 camp sites, including 3 backcountry camping experiences and activities including hiking, fishing, boating, swimming, picnicking, mountain biking, paddle boarding, sailing and more! Canoe, kayak, bike, and paddle board rentals available.

Winter Activities

Skating

The Atwood Lions Outdoor Rink is a great covered ice surface with boards, hockey nets, and a covered spectator area. Open weekdays 8:00am-10:00pm and weekends 8:00am-11:00pm. No sticks allowed 9:00am-12:00pm.

Many other pop-up public outdoor rinks are located in various towns throughout Perth County, check online for details.

Christmas Tree Farms

In November/December, visit Outback Tree Farm to enjoy a wagon ride, drink hot apple cider and experience the excitement of cutting your own fresh Christmas tree. Saws provided. 519-291-4754

Stroll through the snowy fields at Kroes Christmas Tree Farm to pick the perfect tree, enjoy a cup of hot chocolate, and make a Christmas memory! Saws provided. 519-656-3214 

Maple Syrup Experiences

Visit Hoover’s Maple Syrup in Atwood to buy certified organic syrup and maple products from their local sugar bush. Tours available. On maple weekend enjoy a pancake brunch along with your tour!  519-356-2132 

In Perth South, McCully’s Hill Farm celebrates maple syrup festival Saturdays and Sundays in March. Learn how maple syrup is made, take a horse drawn wagon ride through the sugar bush and visit the sugar shack. Pancake brunch available. 519-284-2564 

Tubing

Equipped with state of the art snow-making equipment, River Valley offers 8 lanes of snow tubing fun, with a magic carpet lift. The property also includes a network of trails for snowshoeing. The licensed chalet features a variety of food. Relax on the scenic patio and warm at an outdoor campfire on the terrace. Tubes and snowshoes are provided. 519-225-2329

Snowmobiling

There are a variety of Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Club (OFSC) trails throughout Perth County. Visit the OFSC website to view current trail conditions. www.ofsc.on.ca

Snowshoeing

In the winter months Wildwood Conservation Area trails are ideal for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and fat-biking. Equipment rentals available. 519-284-2292

The Stratford Perth Museum offers snowshoeing on their network of walking trails. Snowshoe rental is included with admission. 519-393-5312
