Business Supports and Marketing Programs

There are several ways for our local business community to get involved in the business support and marketing programming opportunities offered by Perth County. All of these programs are available to eligible Perth County businesses free of charge.

 Discover More Adventures - Experiential Tourism Program

CLICK HERE to sign up for the Discover More Adventures program using a simple online form. This program helps Perth County businesses expertly enhance and market their offerings. Participating businesses will receive a product enhancement and marketing package valued at $10,000, including training sessions, expert guidance, professional photography/videography, paid advertising, marketing materials, and more. To see examples of projects this program has supported to date, please click here. Please note, participation in this program is FREE.

COVID-19 Funding Resources

Government of Ontario support programs - Click here

** New January 7th, 2022 - Ontario COVID-19 Small Business Relief Grant - Eligible businesses subject to closures as a result of the province’s move to the modified Step Two of the Roadmap to Reopen can receive a grant of $10,000. Click here **

 

** New January 18th, 2022 - Ontario Business Costs Rebate Program Applications - Eligible businesses that are required to close or reduce capacity will receive rebate payments for a portion of the property tax and energy costs they incur while subject to these measures. Eligible businesses required to reduce capacity to 50 per cent, such as smaller retail stores, will receive a rebate payment equivalent to 50 per cent of their costs, while businesses required to close for indoor activities, such as restaurants and gyms, will receive a rebate payment equivalent to 100 per cent of their costs. The province has launched a toll-free line to provide support to Ontario businesses who have questions about the province's recent emergency order to close at-risk workplaces following recommendations by Ontario's Chief Medical Officer of Health. Full details can be found here.

Mental Wellness for Small Business Owners & Entrepreneurs

The uncertainty, business closure, job loss and financial stresses brought on by COVID-19 can impact the mental health and wellness of our small business owners very hard.  In an effort to help, the Perth Community Futures Development Corporation, the Stratford Perth Community Foundation, the Stratford-Perth Centre for Business, and local businesses, Hyde Construction Ltd. & Orr Insurance & Investment, in partnership with the United Way Perth Huron have funded a program to offer Mental Wellness support at no cost to business owners in the County, Stratford & St. Marys.

Mental Wellness for Small Business Owners & Entrepreneurs:

  • Counselling and one-one support provided by Family-Services, Perth-Huron (All Clinicians are fully licensed and accredited to provide professional counselling services in Ontario under the Psychotherapy Act of Ontario)
  • Existing clients of the Centre for Business & Perth CFDC will be provided the information directly via email/newsletter. 
  • Any Owners/Entrepreneurs whom are not yet clients, can reach out to info@stratfordperthbusiness.ca or call 519-305-5055 x1006
  • Call Family Services Perth-Huron directly 519-273-1020, x108
  • The direct extension will be provided by Family Services Perth-Huron to the entrepreneur – no personal details need to be provided to the Business Advisory staff in order to access the program.
